Hot & Spicy is a very popular limited edition offer from KFC.
The TV campaign was an international adapt, showing men crying from the increased spiciness of the flavour, and beautiful women misinterpreting this as a rare showing of men’s true emotions.
For the radio, we took a different tack on the same insight – we aimed Hot & Spicy as a way for women to make their man a more emotional human being. The voiceover ‘bloke’ even had trouble describing some of the caring activities a man could experience with his female partner, once he’d had a few bites of Hot & Spicy.
Hot & Spicy was so popular in Australia in 2013 that KFC sold out of their supply of chicken pieces in two weeks.
